The centre played host to a truly special event over the Christmas period as Janet organised our first hamper collections for the local community. Donations were gratefully received from the wonderful residents of Twydall as well as the parents and children from Featherby school. In total, we were able to provide 8 hampers to members of the community which were delivered shortly before the Christmas break. We were astounded by the generosity of the community and cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for some very special people.
The AGM took place on the 4th June 2019 and was the best turnout we have ever had. We had the opportunity to speak to members of the community about how we can provide more for local residents as well as speaking to the newly elected local councillors, who were keen to offer realistic solutions to some of the issues that were discussed. We hope we can accomodate some of the suggestions we had in the latter part of the year.
We have disabled access!
Our treasurer, Roger, spent many months researching the best option available to us to make our centre accessible and we are pleased to report that his hard work has paid off. Disabled access is now available at the rear of the hall, next to the entrance to the sports pavillion and right in front of the access bay.
